The occasion had a wonderful launch of Smart City Logo and Website which facilitates people to pay their House Tax via Digital Platform. Lucknow Smart City Limited in coordination with its official consultant has rolled out a full-fledged action plan to achieve their primary aim of transforming Art City to Smart City.
Darashaw & Co. Pvt. Ltd. was appointed as an official consultant of the Lucknow Smart City Limited to actualize the action plan towards making Lucknow a Smart City.
On 16.08.2016, SPV was formed by the name of Lucknow Smart City Limited to roll out the prestigious Smart City Initiative in Lucknow. The company is governed by the Board of Directors along with the representatives from various departments who looks after the smooth working process of Lucknow Smart City Limited.
Next 23 cities with the highest marking which failed to get representation in the first round of competition participated in the 'Fast Track Round. On 25.05.2016, out of the 23 cities only 13 cities have made it to the list of winners of Fast Track Round Lucknow topped the list by improving the quality & parameters of its Proposal.
With the finalization on the names of 100 competent Smart Cities of India, the race began to win the first round of Smart City Challenge where each of the potential 100 smart cities prepared their proposals for participation in the City Challenge. Govt. of India announced the list of 20 winners of First Smart City Challenge on 28.01.2016.
Smart City Mission was launched by Honable Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 25.06.2015. A total of Rs. 98,000 Crores has been approved for development of 100 Smart Cities and rejuvenation of 500 others.
